Rev. Fr. Alexandros Pretorian, Presiding Priest
He was born in Bucharest, Romania, and is of Greek and Romanian descent.
He studied at the Orthodox Seminary in Bucharest, graduating with honors.
In 2002, he was successfully admitted for undergraduate studies at the School of Theology in Bucharest, where he studied for two years. His high grades allowed him to participate in the European competition for graduate studies, and he was awarded a scholarship from the Greek Ministry of Education to continue his studies in Athens, Greece, at the School of Theology, Department of Scientific Theology.
In the last year of his studies, he was ordained to the diaconate and priesthood in the Greek Archdiocese of Athens and served there until 2022. He continued his training in Pastoral Care at the Institute of Ministry of the Greek Archdiocese of Athens in matters of Youth, Family, and modern methods of pastoral care. He was awarded the rank of Protopresvyter by His Eminence Archbishop of all Greece Ieronymos.
In 2022, he was accepted with a scholarship at the Hellenic College Holy Cross in Brookline, MA, for postgraduate studies in the Master of Theology program.
Father speaks Greek and Romanian and has studied Ancient Latin, Greek, and Slavonic. He has degrees of Proficiency in English, French, German, and Italian.

Ο νεοδιορισθείς π. Αλέξανδρος Πρετόριαν γεννήθηκε στο Βουκουρέστι της Ρουμανίας και είναι ελληνικής και ρουμανικής καταγωγής. Σπούδασε στη Θεολογική Σχολή του Βουκουρεστίου, από την οποία αποφοίτησε με άριστα.
Το 2002 έγινε δεκτός για προπτυχιακές σπουδές στη Θεολογική Σχολή του Βουκουρεστίου, όπου σπούδασε για δύο χρόνια. Οι υψηλές ακαδημαϊκές του επιδόσεις τού επέτρεψαν να συμμετάσχει σε Ευρωπαϊκό διαγωνισμό για μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές και του απονεμήθηκε υποτροφία από το υπουργείο Παιδείας της Ελλάδας για να συνεχίσει τις σπουδές του στην Αθήνα, στη Θεολογική Σχολή, Τμήμα Επιστημονικής Θεολογίας.
Στο τελευταίο έτος των σπουδών του, χειροτονήθηκε διάκονος και ιερέας στην Αρχιεπισκοπή Αθηνών, όπου υπηρέτησε μέχρι το 2022. Συνέχισε την εκπαίδευσή του στην Ποιμαντική Φροντίδα στο Ινστιτούτο Διακονίας της Αρχιεπισκοπής Αθηνών, σε θέματα Νεολαίας, Οικογένειας και σύγχρονων μεθόδων ποιμαντικής. Του απονεμήθηκε ο τίτλος του Πρωτοπρεσβύτερου από τον Μακαριώτατο Αρχιεπίσκοπο Αθηνών και πάσης Ελλάδος κ. Ιερώνυμο.
Το 2022 έγινε δεκτός με υποτροφία στο Ελληνικό Κολλέγιο και τη Θεολογική Σχολή του Τιμίου Σταυρού Βοστώνης για μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές στο πρόγραμμα Μάστερ Θεολογίας (Master of Theology).
Ο πατήρ Αλέξανδρος Πρετόριαν ομιλεί Ελληνικά και Ρουμανικά και έχει σπουδάσει Αρχαία Λατινικά, Ελληνικά και Σλαβονικά. Έχει επίσης πτυχία γλωσσομάθειας στα Αγγλικά, Γαλλικά, Γερμανικά και Ιταλικά.
